During that time, Coats and Morris had written several songs together which they used to start OFF!. The group made its live debut at the 2010 South By Southwest Music Festival in Austin, Texas. OFF!’s first Los Angeles show featured an original art installation by Raymond Pettibon at a downtown warehouse space. The first release by OFF! is a 7” vinyl EP called 1st EP, which debuted on October 13, 2010. That EP, along with three more EPs, were later released as a four 7” vinyl box set entitled First Four EPs on December 14, 2010. The collection contains sixteen songs and features artwork by Raymond Pettibon. In 2012, OFF! released a full-length self-titled album. The record again contained sixteen songs at about one minute each, and again featured art from Raymond Pettibon. (Source: Wikipedia).

Your gas n guns, your clubs n thugs, your lies on the TV, None of that can save you now as your reign is swept away.

Another shakedown and a slap in the face, and he know he’d had had enough. He doused himself in gasoline, took a breath, and lit a match.
She said: “I will go down to Tehrir Square and I will stand alone, And if you have any dignity, I won’t be on my own.”

The music can best be described as classic melodic punk rock with a diverserange of influences that takes the listener through shredding fast sections, catchy midtempo singalongs and heavier hardcore-ish stuff, all with political and personal lyrics, sung straight from the heart.
Well, my heart is broken and my spirit too but this won’t be the day that I surrender to the likes of you. I may be hurt and bleeding, but I won’t lay down and die. As long as this hearts beating. I will get up and try again. And I know I can’t be wrong, ‘cause we are thousands strong yeah!
Each one of us a feather on it’s gol-encrusted tail. And if we stay together there is no way that we can fail. Almost like a phoenix rising. From the fire, hear it’s cry sing out!
With different hearts and different minds we’re breaking barriers. With different hearts and different minds we’re gonna break down the walls and whatever stands in our way is gonna fall!
This is the second wave, a new wind in our sail, and if we stay together there is no way that we can fail. How much longer can you ignore us? Here we come now, are you ready for us?
TEAR IT DOWN! TEAR IT DOWN!
There’s nothing that can stop us now, if we put our hearts to it.
TEAR IT DOWN! TEAR IT DOWN!
There’s nothing that can stop us now, if we put or minds to it.
And we gotta do it our way. This is our scene and our say. We gotta make a stand for it cause no one else will give a shit. Stand up proud, sing it out loud!

The reasons are complex, Still a major factor is to blame. Thankfully it won’t last forever, Not as long as we carry this flame.
The executive arms of murder have gained too much fame And the fame is just what’s going to bring them to shame And make them lose the game.
Despite your hostile tactics, We never negotiate. Despite this sense of injustice and guilt, We never negotiate. Every day and night, We keep on going straight, And never negotiate. Listen to my heartrate when we twist the debate. It’s a part of our fate.
And when all the people know, you will go under. We are sending you down below, and you will just wonder. Why we are striking down like thunder, not a place for you to go. Not a place for you to go.
Worldwide connection made up A reason for bombs in the Middle East. It’s a shameful and genius act to say the least.
Politicians lobbying their cause, The creation of new laws. Tossing innocent children into the jaws. It’s cause for another round of applause.
08. Unhold – Big Slice
From: Berne, Switzerland
Album: Gold Cut, Subversiv Records
After two full length albums Unhold gathered forces for „Gold Cut“ once again and set a task to merge beauty and beast into one single hybrid creature – fierce, intimidating, beautiful and compelling. “Gold Cut” is the outcome of four years of hard work, boiling down tons of material to 9 songs, clocking in at over fifty minutes. In order to pick up where “Loess” left the band, a toll had to be paid to take the whole venture a step further in making this record. Unhold, now in their prime, teamed up with a few adept aquanauts and took a deep dive into the bottomless pit of the project, everyone yielded, delivered and turned up pretty much unharmed. Sometimes it’s called for – to let go of something dearly loved and craved in order to break up and explore new frontiers. Make the shift consciously and keep in honour what you leave behind. Work in modesty and harvest when time is due. The gold cut.
The eye Illuminated orb Clustered dark matter A shade of black
A well spread disease festering in our hearts
It’s allways awake Passing it on
Thriceborn Mammon’s lackeys It will be done ‘cause it can be done
It’s always awake Polluting our souls
Rid this world of these sinister hands chanting to the sound of singing swords

We know we’ve got each other and we know there’s no “forever” The skies our limit and we will push it if we ever reach the top. So here to all the years of laughter, pain and tears. Got great respect that’s what we expect It’s fairly natural trait But not for some it has been done And all there is – hate
You sulk and try to hide your pride While we put on our new hat You will never know what was in store Living to rest of your life like that But the very best thing is every time we sing This song that may sound cruel We laugh all day cause there’s nothing more to say There is only one loser – that’s you

They say we are the friends of a fallen fortune, They say these are the days of modern times In the halls the great minds speak, in the outside world we all struggle to breath Digging for oil and uranium, While we bury the waste for our children to eat
Satellite communication, everyone talks at the same time But no-one is caring to listen, Except those ears that are searching for treason The media spreads the words of campaigns, The government owns the TV screens We didn´t ask to be born into this, Ten thousand years has come to this…?
In the new age, send us a prophet to save us from drowning In the new age, in the new age
They say we are the friends of a fallen fortune, They say we are living on borrowed time We carry our guns into foreign lands, We test our bombs under dessert sands All the while I wonder how, Ten thousand years has come to this…?

17. Ticking Bombs – Stand Your Ground
From: Fagersta, Sweden
Album: Crash Course In Brutality, Concrete Jungle Records
The story of this band started in the beginning of the year 2000. Even though they couldn‘t really handle their instruments at that time the 5 friends started to play Punkrock to escape Fagersta‘s boredom. Despite those initial difficulties they never lost the fun and passion and jumped off late 2001. They played tons of shows and managed several tours on their own among Sweden, Finland, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Austria, Czech Republic and even traveled a few times through Japan. Of course they also produced and released their 3 records on their own what proves how passionate these guys are.
9 years after they had founded the band, TICKING BOMBS decided to record their 4th full length album with Niklas Källgren at Millencolin‘s legendary Soundlab Studio in Örebro. And the result of these 11 tracks is more than just amazing. Every song abounds of power and energy. Looking for ballads? No chance! This is D.O.A., FEAR as well as PETER PAN SPEEDROCK mixed up with typical Swedish streetpunkstyle just as VOICE OF A GENERATION used to play years ago. One could also describe it as highspeed BOMBSHELL ROCKS. The lyrics are about stories of their own lives and social environment. Crises, tragedies, violence, monotony. You see… Sweden is not just about IKEA and midsummer.
No matter what, you can’t bring us down This is our life this is our town We will never run and hide Gonna stay true till the day we die
Always stay your ground Don’t let the bastards get you down
Even with our backs against the wall It’s all for one and one for all We have pride in what we do Give our all for family and crew
If you talk behind our back You better watch out and expect attack Cause we’re the ones who stand proud Never give in, just shout loud
18. The Strapones – Bastards Way
From: Berne, Switzerland
Album: Stay Sick, Subversiv Records
Growing up in small town surrounded by the swiss Alps with an average age of 89.5 years, it won’t take long until you get really frustrated. Either you form some sort of hairy and leathery biker gang or you start a band. None of these guys passed the drivers exam…
The Strapones were formed in 2009 influenced by both old and new punk and hardcore bands. They survived two line-up changes, released an EP/7inch called “This Is The End” and played several gigs before they finally released their debut album «Stay Sick» (Label: Subversiv Records) in fall 2011. The Strapones is punk. Nothing more, nothing less.
Who is livin’, who is livin’, who is livin’ the bastards way Who is livin’, who is livin’, who is livin’ the bastards way
I take the other way Maybe straight in the wrong direction For me they all look the same Like armless soldiers with no aim Don’t need their love or affection If I have to, I’m gonna beat you down, down, down,
down and out
Who’s the Bastard? Who’s the Bastard? Who’s the Bastard?
Don’t want you, don’t need you, don’t have to act the saint They want it, don’t get it, for me it’s all the same I wanna know what’s glory, where is the gutter? It’s like fighting in a war under an unknown flag I can’t believe their lies and everything they said to me Don’t listen to their tales and stories Unchanged and dogmatic
Take on step, take two back They wanna see you fail Take on step, take two back They wanna see you fail They wanna know how long it takes till you forsake They don’t want to see
19. 59 Times The Pain – Together We’re Stronger
From: Fagersta, Sweden
Album: Blind Anger & Hate, Burning Heart Records
59 Times the Pain was a Swedish hardcore punk band. They were active from 1992 until 2001.
The band was formed in Fagersta, Sweden in 1992 by Magnus Larnhed (Vocals / guitar), Michael Conradsson (bass), Toni Virtanen (drums) and Kai Kalliomäki (guitar). The bandname is inspired by a song from Hüsker Dü with the same name. Kalliomäki soon left the band to be replaced by Niklas Lundgren, who left hardcore band “Dislars” later to become the more known Burst. Their first demo “Feeling Down” got some attention from Burning Heart Records, and in 1993, the band signed to the label. The following year the band recorded their debut album Blind Anger & Hate.
In March 1995, 59 Times the Pain started recording their second full-length album, More Out of Today at Unisound. The underground success of More Out of Today and the debut single “Blind Anger & Hate” allowed 59 Times the Pain to establish themselves as a successful band. They did this through extensive touring, with their shows gaining excellent reviews.
Their fourth album, End of the Millennium, was released in March 1999 with their fifth (and final) album, Calling The Public, released in 2001. The band also had songs included on several compilations, including 1999’s Short Music for Short People and Punk-O-Rama Vol. 4. The band split in 2001. On January 30, 2008 they announced that they were reforming to play Groezrock festival (Source: Wikipedia)
Down, bring us down that’s what they try to do to us, and you shut, shut us out but that is not our loss - no way because times like this ain’t nothing new - there is one thing we gotta do all unite and stand together - together we’re stronger bring us down don’t even try - no use trying i’ll tell you why cause we will always stand together - together we’re stronger
20. Topnovil – Time 2 Fight
From: Wollongong, Australia
Album: Same Old Story
Born in 1997 out of the Wollongong punk scene, Topnovil is an authentic Aussie fourth generation punk rock band in every possible way. Heavily influenced by “77” Punk and third generation punk rock bands, you can hear where the lads developed their distinctive Punk Rock sound with undertones of Ska. Band members: Dee Dee lead vox / Guitar, Lucko: Backing vox / Guitar, Daim: Backing vox / Bass, Des: Drums
Over again I see it on the news, those money hungry bastards, the world they abuse. In single or in packs their breathin down our necks. Chasing who they can for whatever they can take, coz they know you’ve got a price and everybody bleeds.
The ones that survive are the ones that will see, they’re not telling the truth as they hide behind their suits. Best place for these guys is hanging from a noose. Pointless execution, verbal pollution. Piss in our ear, well we’ve got the solution.
Gonna fight, fight for our freedom. Gonna fight, it’s the only way to beat them. Shout out and be counted, it’s time to make some noise. We’ll show these greedy bastards we ain’t their fucking toys.
You wonder why the people wanna riot. Give em a chance and you might find out. Taken for a ride one too many times, ask for answers but you push them aside. Say it will be ok, that it will be alright, tell em that you’ll fix it but it’s just a fucking lie.
21. Kvoteringen – Vi Har Fått Nog
From: Örebro, Sweden
Album: Fuck Your Scene Kid vol 3, Kranium Rec/De:Nihil Rec
Kvoteringen from Örebro, Sweden started 2003. No plan, just to keep it simple, primitive and raw as the Swedish/Finnish punk sounded in the early 80’s. Members are: Calle (vocals), Jallo (guitar/bass) and Larzon (drums) Jallo also play/played in bands like Totalitär, Meanwhile, No Security etc. and Larzon also plays in Millencolin. The band have released something like five 7” ep’s and two full lengths and play live every now and then. New record is in the works.
The leaders of this world, corporate scum. Have since the beginning seen people as food. It might be food for their guns or food for the vulture economy that breeds them. This song is about just those scumfucks that so openly hates us. Their strategy might be violent or manipulative, colorful and seductive or dark and full of fear. But we all can see through this charade. Politicians, monarchs and corporate leaders are just on side of the same coin. Flip that penny over and there you have our anger and solidarity. Love and rage. We had enough of their fucking shit. We can see, they are blind. To people needs and climate change. The only way for them to gain some dignity, would be to step down. Or put an end to their own human misery. It’s gone too far they don’t deserve our sympathy. Cuz’ we had enough of their fucking shit!
22. Zinc – Bullets and Tear Gas
From: Syria
Album: previously unreleased
Written by the newly formed Syrian punk band Zinc whose members have chosen to remain anonymous… just like over 20,000 dead and more than a 100,000 detained. Inspired by what might look like numbers to the world and to governments, but are in fact human beings who felt love, joy, sadness, frustration, and all the feelings we know! Humans, who have longed, most of all, for freedom and dignity.
We’ve come to fall in love with the Bullets and tear gas as the Burning in our eyes would Remind us we’re alive
The wounds that tear our flesh remove The scars within our souls, it’s time that Tyranny had left and let the People take control
Chorus: Whoaaa whoaaa Bullets and tear gas
Whoaaa whoaaa Bullets and tear gas
Whoaaa whoaaa Bullets and tear gas
Whoaaa whoaaa Bullets and tear gas
23. Entwaffnung – Bitte Was?!
From: Baden, Switzerland
Album: Life is a Killer, Toxx Records
Entwaffnung (engl: disarmament) is a Swiss hardcore-punkrock band from the city of Baden. Founded in the year 2001, the band played numerous gigs throughout Switzerland, becoming a known address in the Swiss punkrock scene. While the lyrics are mostly politically motivated, they sometimes digress to personal topics such as breakups and (consequently) drinking. Though the band has not been very active recently, they still exist and continue to play. Gigs also have been rare recently, since all of the members are punkrockers, as opposed to professional musicians, having to make a living some other way. This is also mirrored in their live shows - don’t expect studded and spiked punkers delivering a top performance and giving great speeches in between the songs. Entwaffnung is just four regular guys playing their songs - which are, as is all of the band, pure and simple.
Bitte was?! (say what?!) is a song about the drabness of living a ‘regular’ life. It deals with feeling trapped in a rut without perspective, possibilities or even choice.
24. Anti-Everything – Gravity on Hold
From: Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago
Album: The International Conspiracy to Push You Down
Anti-Everything is a punk rock band from the small Caribbean state of Trinidad and Tobago. Blending elements of hardcore, old school and new school punk, ska, and at times calypso music, Anti-Everything brings a familiar yet unique sound to the table. While being a punk rock band from the Caribbean is neither typical nor easy, the band is a reflection that music is truly a universal medium of communication and a border-less vector of culture - No matter where in the world you are from, we all face similar struggles which we must confront head on, despite the medium with which we may choose to do so. The band’s material is inspired by everything from political corruption and economic inequality, to science and mathematics, and everything in-between.
Scream “Freedom!”, and raise your fucking fist in the air all of you who claim to have a care for the everyday blood that’s shed in the name of propaganda
the modern will of man seems to go nowhere, loss of identity in a hypocrite’s society psychological attacks, in the burning city streets, one more hit for free in a hypocrite’s society
but I will not give in to your idea of morals and values telling me I am not what I am - fuck you!
I will not fight ‘till you see me; this is now something to believe in we will not stop building the infrastructure for dissent
they’ve created a covert plan to manufacture consent; shut down their factory, in a hypocrite’s society lying under oath - it’s how we search for growth; all communication is free, in a hypocrite’s society
where the vending machine, sells your dreams; until the district is clean, in a hypocrite’s society a bomb shelter - build it to hide form human greed,…in a hypocrite’s society
and death cannot save me, I will never throw away what you gave me now you don’t believe me and life won’t you save me, I will forever sow what you gave me but you still disown me and death cannot save me, I will never throw away what you gave me, now you don’t believe me and life won’t you save me, in the name of peace, love and harmony
…and progress medicate yourself on compulsive desire; high on anxiety, in a hypocrite’s society dressed in black and white, and all lined up; every variety, in a hypocrite’s society
so dance around again and question never again; there’s no complacency in a hypocrite’s society and dance around, pretend that problems fix themselves; it’s true if it’s on TV, in a hypocrite’s society
25. Play to Destroy – Think Global, Act Local
From: Lucerne, Switzerland
Album: Consequences
Five guys. Punk Rock. Hardcore. DIY. Enough to know. Check us out. Thank you.
So what do you do, I hear just excuses do you really think there’s no influence the world’s going down and we will too (but) I won’t go down without nothing done it might be that it’s just for a good feeling but getting pissed won’t help anyway so think global, act local, think global
(maybe) we won’t change countries and (probably) we can’t smash politics but we can make a change on our own how we think, how we live how we listen, how we talk how we eat, how we buy where we stand and how we walk

26. Bearfoot – The Child Bears A Curse
From: Long Beach (NY), USA
Album: previously unreleased
Bearfoot started in late 2010 as the result of Alex Shirzay (Guitar) and Damien Ellinghaus (Drums) feeling an overwhelming need to break shit and play fast. Add Johnny Manchild, the ripped as hell, in your face frontman from hell, and you had the OG incarnation of Bearfoot. An 11 song in as many minutes demo entitled “Culture of Fear” was released in 2011 and brought all of Long Island to their knees….jk, but it was pretty cool nonetheless. Recently added was bassist Mike O’ Keefe, and currently Bearfoot is in the process of releasing a 5 song EP and a split with local fastcore heroes The Fanboys, to be released soon. Bearfoots music is a blend of hardcore punk, Doom metal, Grindcore, and Powerviolence, likes long walks on the beach, and blast beats. A whole lot of blast beats.
The words in this track in particular have to do with being a person born in a place without the same law protected natural rights that we have here in most of the western world. It has to do with living in a place where the military and police attack civilians and anyone that dares protests against government oppression.
27. Unveil – Suicidal Pathway
From: Grabs, Switzerland
Album: A Flame With Nothing To Feed On, Catalyst Records (US) & Cobra Recods (GER)
Unveil, a hardcore band located in Eastern Switzerland, is back with a brand new release called ‘A Flame With Nothing To Feed On’, which is the outfit’s first full-length effort. Not only does the band stick to its values and ideals, which work as driving forces behind the music, but it also widens its horizons through more complex and nuanced song structures. However, the power displayed on the previous releases, namely the highly impressive 3-track demo of 2009, as well as the two solid 7inches that followed, remains intact.
It’s no secret that Unveil keeps taking its cues from the fertile soil of the politically conscious 90’s metallic hardcore scene. That said, ‘A Flame With Nothing To Feed On’ brings in new aesthetics, proving the band is always ready to push boundaries and doesn’t content itself with repeating a well-known formula.
Last but not least, Unveil is also committed to keeping a clear message and having a zero tolerance policy towards any kinds of discrimination.
Don’t Act Like We Didn’t Know You Are The Last To Throw The Stone We Brought This On Ourselves Progression And Remorse Go Hand In Hand The End Won’t Come The Easy Way
We Sound The Bell For A Mass Extinction The End Won’t Come The Easy Way I Can’t Stand The Vision Of The Final Age
The Final Age
I Try To Forget But It Haunts Me In My Dreams The Sky Reflects The Light Of Fire And Bombs We Brought This On Ourselves Honourless Resignation As The Curtain Falls I Have Been Told That Hell Will Be A Place Where You Realize Your Faults And Regret
Too Late
We Create Hell On Earth We Burn Everything That’s Left It’s Not Gonna Take That Long All The Beauty And All The Glamour Will Be Gone We’ll Fade Away And The Only Legacy We Leave Is Nuclear Waste And Empty City Streets
28. Swarm – Born To Ruin
From: Stockholm, Sweden
Album: s/t EP, De:Nihil Records
Playing in a band is not about sex, drugs and rock n’ roll. It’s an art and we take it very seriously. It’s our craftsmanship. Stockholm, Sweden-based trio Swarm consists of Johan (Victims) on bass, Marcus (Disfear) on drums and Uffe (Disfear, ex Entombed) on guitar. Swarm was formed in 2011 with an intention to play slower punk/blues-based music with a hard-core edge. Our 3-piece makes every instrument stand out stronger. We’re getting old and we have kids, dogs and other bands, so we work slowly, but we’re serious! We love making music and touring when we can, and that’s what we’re going to do. Swarm is influenced by bands like Steel Pole Bath Tub, Melvins, Hammerhead, Swans, Unsane, Hammerhead, Shellac, Jimi Hendrix, Hot Snakes, No Means No, Tool, Queens of the Stone Age, and Vaz (to name but a few) and we write music that also has the soul of jazz, blues, art, literature and anarchy. This is what we want to do. Swarm has a collective heart that consists of the 3 of us bonded in friendship and deep respect for each other. Our struggle is to stand out, not fit in, and to love more. We like to love and be loved and we love you.
The chains are strong in inherited hatred Implanted over generations of unjust For thousands of years you’ve been sucking us dry Deep down in our hearts the resistance is rising
For as long as we remember you’ve pushed us around You’ve had your time is time for reprisal A storm is blowing in over the land you stole It’ll crash your banks and burn your castles
29. Desperat – Demokrati?
From: Stockholm/Malmö/Frösön, Sweden
Album: Demokrati eller diktatur?, De:Nihil Records
Formed as a power trio a hot summer night in 2009, but the similarity with Mob 47 was too much. Later Jocke was asked if he wanted to take over the microphone and join the band. In March 2010 Desperat took the form that the band still is, and it was at this time we started to get more serious. Today we have a few gigs and some releases on our conscience, and we are constantly working on new songs, projects and changes in our society. Without any further ambitions we just play simple and plain hardcore raw punk music. Showing the kids that age doesn’t matter. Once hardcore always fucking raw hardcore!
Krig! - Regeringar startar krig För att visa vem som starkast är Den starke ger sig på den svage Maktmissbruk i den högre skolan Pennalism när den är som värst Var är demokratin? - Är det demokrati?
The word democracy lists its meaning along the highway. The governments constantly abuse their power and we aren’t worth shit in their dirty games. We’re just another vote in their commercial campaign. That isn’t democracy to me. So could someone please tell me, what is democracy?
30. Al Thawra – Psalm of the Sniper
From: Chicago, USA
Album: previously unreleased
We’re a doom-crust punk band from Chicago. Our sound is not your run-of-the-mill hardcore sound, as we mix elements of traditional Middle Eastern music instrumentation; heavy, sludgy, crust punk; and experimental music influences. We’re glad to meet you. …. we’re definitely interested in releasing split records, collaboration, and other stuff. Don’t hesitate to contact us for any reason!!!
